Been a WHILE...
Hey guys, it's been a few crazy years, huh? First the 2016 elections, then Covid-19 pandemic, and now the state of the world is falling apart faster than we can apply duct tape to it.
I know I'm not the greatest at staying up to date on here. It's been a long time and something about me that I only recently figured out is I'm an "Out of sight, out of mind" kind of person. Because I don't come on here more, I forget it exists. And I often don't build the habit to remind myself to get on once in a while to maybe upload new art or tell everyone how I've been. And for that, I sincerely apologize.
You're likely to find me on the Tumblr hellscape, where I'm known as kaijuvanitas. If you want to catch up there, that's going to be your best bet. I also have a discord, but I ask that only friends reach out to me for my discord handle. Musk has launched a tactical nuke on Twitter, but I'm sometimes on talking to a friend who's game I helped develop the characters and story of as @SushiGradeBadgr. You can keep tabs on his game and even play disc one to see some familiar characters I've drawn in a fresh coat of paint and story of their own. The game is called Axial and it's free to play. I also play Genshin Impact and you'll see me running around the game as The One and Oni Arataki Itto. If you want to play with me, I'm called IvoryUmi there. Life is getting very hard and it's been a while since I produced any new sketches or drawings. I haven't had the motivation for a while and life is busy. I had to drop out of college for the time being to look for full time work. But it's not all bad. I have good friends and family helping me get by, my cat Ghirah continues to be a goofy little creature, and every once in a while I have the inspiration and motivation to create, even if I never ultimately upload it to here.
I'm sorry for not being on more, I'm sorry SumomoSushi has fallen to the wayside over these years. But I do hope to get back into art sooner or later, and I hope that when I reach the end of this artless road, you guys there waiting for me so we can continue to create together. Thank you for still being there for me, even when I'm not.

Well... So much for that comeback
I'm super busy trying to finish my college education in spite of my depression and ADHD issues, and on days I go to work, I'm not exactly motivated to draw in my sketchbook, let alone my CPU. And speaking of my computer, it's quite a few years old. It does the job, don't get me wrong, and for now, I'll keep using it. But programs tend to lag when I get super into a zone, so staying motivated to draw when problems arise can be tedious and demotivating, I plan on hopefully getting a new one in the future.
I also don't have access to a scanner at home, so I haven't uploaded and paper sketches for this reason, even though there's a ton I want to upload here. I have a better phone for taking pictures with, but I want you guys to have the best quality view of the sketches, not a poorly lit image that might be blurry,
I'm still gonna try guys, don't misinterpret this. I want to be an animator or storyboard artist more than anything, so I can't let things like this get me down. This is just an update to let you all know what's going on and why I haven't uploaded anything in over a year.
I'm also just trying to save money for a PS4 to play KH3, so there's that too.
Making a comeback
Anyways, I'm getting back into the swing of things, I have a new Wacom tablet that works much better than my old UGEE and am plugging away at art for this animatic of two characters from Charon's Folly (a homebrew DnD game based off of the Golden Sun games), as well as working on art for my friend's game (Top Secret right now).
I still have my job and have had a few shift changes.
We have officially moved, still getting some things moved over but slow and steady wins the race, I guess.
Other than that, nothing much.
I went back to school, so I've been trying to focus on that. Doesn't mean I'm not drawing or sketching, though. Our main CPU where I scan in my drawings got ROYALLY fried and we had to get a new one. I haven't been able to configure it yet so that I can scan in my drawings. I keep misplacing either my stylus or my drawing tablet and even when I have both, I have no inspiration or motivation to work on anything. I'm currently looking for a job. A friend of mine's mother was having his (terrible) older brother evicted and the process took a long time and he was nervous during the whole thing so I had to be moral support. Good news is though the brother is gone and going to Alabama. Lack of inspiration lately. Been playing too much Elsword, whoops. Getting cute ideas from it though for drawings. We had this HORRIBLE rainstorm that completely TRASHED our internet so I couldn't even check my email much less upload drawings. It's still going iffy even now but it's slowly getting better. Emphasis on SLOWLY. My dad had surgery on his shoulder so when I'm home I've been helping him out. And finally, my family is getting ready to move. My mom had a house built on land she inherited from my grandfather who passed away two years ago, and it's finally nearing completion! That means I'm going to be busy getting packed up and transferring things over to the new place.So yeah, I've been pretty busy, but I'm hoping that by the time I move and get a job, I'll be able to start posting artwork again.
